IPAAeX Speaker Submission

IPAA NSW is hosting IPAAeX: Reinventing Service, the 2020 IPAA National Conference in Sydney on 12 May 2020.

Individuals are invited to nominated as a speaker for IPAAeX.

About IPAAeX Speaker Opportunity

IPAAeX comprises of 15 TED-style addresses exploring how the notion of service will evolve in a new decade. The presentations will run the gamut from exploring the notion of public service as playing a custodian role in supporting the most vulnerable to examples of building great customer service in new and innovative ways.

The presentations will help delegates discover what re-inventing service in a new decade looks like. Presentations could contemplate topics such as how to create and realise public value, how to deliver better customer service, how to build a public service that is fit for the future and more.

These thought-provoking presentations will be interwoven with opportunities for delegates to visit the IPAAeX Hub and ‘Meet the Speakers’ theatrette to connect with colleagues from across the public sector and build their career, capability and confidence.

IPAA has chosen to program TED-style addresses so that this fresh, contemporary approach drives the creation and delivery of presentations that engage and inspire the audience.

Speakers are encouraged to approach their subject from a more narrative perspective and include moments of revelation (referred to by TED organisers as ‘a-ha moments’) where it becomes clear why their case study or example is reinventing the notion of public service. A focus of the program, given the emphasis on the NSW government, will be the exploration of customer service and how customer centricity is being embodied in the public sector.

Presentations will be delivered in a theatre with high production values. IPAA will support the presenters in professionally visualising their speech to ensure their slides, videos, props or animations are well-crafted. IPAA will also work with the speakers to support in delivering a concise, well-crafted scripted and rehearsed presentation.

Speakers will be selected based on their relevance and fit within the overall conference program. All nominations will be reviewed by the IPAAeX Programming Group.

Applicants will be notified of the outcome of their submission via e-mail. Speakers wishing to attend the conference will be offered a complimentary registration at IPAAeX.
Hotel, airfare and travel expenses are not covered. If you’re already registered for IPAAeX, your ticket will be reimbursed.
